    About this tool

Merging is useful for sending one tidy attachment instead of many: a signed contract plus its appendices, a month of receipts for an expense claim, or scanned pages saved as separate files. Files are joined in the order shown, and you can move each one up or down before merging.

Pages are copied exactly, so text stays selectable and quality does not change. The tool uses the open-source pdf-lib library, running in your browser.

    Good to know

    • Password-protected (encrypted) PDFs cannot be merged. Remove the password in the program that created the file first.
    • Interactive form fields and bookmarks from the original files may not be kept.
    • Very large files depend on your device memory. 300 MB total is the limit here.

    Frequently asked questions

Is it safe to merge confidential PDFs here?

Yes. The files are processed in your browser and never uploaded. You can even disconnect from the internet after the page has loaded and the tool still works.

Why does it say my PDF is encrypted?

The PDF has a password or permission lock. Open it in a PDF reader, enter the password, and save or "print to PDF" an unlocked copy, then try again.

How do I change the order of the files?

Use the up and down arrow buttons next to each file. The files are merged from top to bottom, exactly as listed.

Is there a limit on the number of files?

You can merge up to 50 files at once, up to 100 MB each and 300 MB in total.
