About this tool
A clear invoice gets paid faster. Include who is billing whom, a unique invoice number, the date, what was supplied, the amount of tax and the total due, plus how to pay.
UAE VAT tax invoices (for VAT-registered suppliers) must show the words "Tax Invoice", the supplier's name, address and Tax Registration Number (TRN), the recipient's details (and TRN if registered), a sequential invoice number, the date of issue, a description of the goods or services, the unit price, quantity, VAT rate and amount payable, any discount, and the VAT amount in AED. This tool has fields for all of these, but you remain responsible for meeting the Federal Tax Authority's current requirements. A simplified tax invoice may be allowed for some supplies; check the FTA's guidance.
The PDF is created in your browser with pdf-lib; your client and pricing details are not sent anywhere. If you tick "Remember my business details", they are stored in this browser's local storage only, and you can clear them by unticking the box.
Good to know
- UAE e-invoicing: from 1 January 2027 (businesses with revenue of AED 50 million or more) and 1 July 2027 (all other businesses), business-to-business and business-to-government invoices must be exchanged through the national e-invoicing system via an accredited service provider. A PDF invoice will not meet that requirement for in-scope transactions.
- The PDF uses a standard font that supports Latin characters only: Arabic text is not yet supported in the PDF.
- Invoices are not stored: download each one and keep your own records.
- Not tax or legal advice; check the rules for your country.
